Intimate Luxury at Sea

Launched in 2015 and fully renovated in 2019, the M/C Petrel is a luxury motor catamaran designed for an intimate Galapagos experience. At 35 meters long, it welcomes just 16 guests, looked after by ten crew members, a naturalist guide and a dedicated Cruise Service Officer.

Every accommodation features a private balcony. The Main Deck hosts two Golden Suites and two Golden Staterooms, along with an elegant dining salon with panoramic windows, a cozy lounge and a briefing area for daily lectures.

The Upper Deck adds four more Golden Staterooms, a single cabin for solo travelers, and exterior terraces for wildlife observation and sunbathing.

Up top, the Sun Deck offers a hexagonal whirlpool, a cocktail bar, sun loungers and al fresco dining, with both shaded and open-air spaces for relaxing between excursions. Cruising at up to 15 knots, the Petrel combines comfort with a commitment to carbon-neutral travel.

Why we like this ship

Return from a morning of snorkeling and settle into the lounge to swap stories over a refreshing drink, or slip into the whirlpool as the sun dips below the horizon. With just a handful of fellow travelers on board, the Petrel feels more like sailing with friends than joining a cruise, a warm, relaxed space where the sea breeze and island views set the pace of every day.

Golden Single Cabin

The Petrel features a Single Cabin with its own private balcony that can also interconnect with one of the Upper Deck Golden Staterooms. It’s the perfect complement for small groups and families who want to stay close while enjoying their own space.

The Golden Stateroom

Every Golden Stateroom features a private balcony and panoramic island views. Suites are available with either one king bed or two double beds, and select suites can interconnect, perfect for families or friends traveling together.
