Travelling as a senior: your essential guide

Key things to remember:

Most senior travellers prefer travelling by boat but it's important to consider the size and stability of the boat you choose. You can pick from a selection but Catamarans and Cruises are more stable.
You must fly to the Galapagos from Mainland Ecuador. To ensure you are relaxed, we recommend having at least two nights in Quito or Guayaquil at the start of you trip. Read more about getting to the Galapagos here.
Consider when to go: the warm season (December–May) often brings calmer waters and warmer weather, making it a more comfortable experience.
If you are considering a land-based tour, we suggest visiting the Santa Cruz or San Cristobal Islands.
